In today’s devotion, I want to speak to you about Time for Action. We’ve been talking about the goals we have and implementing those goals and making plans and then having some priorities established. You know, you can do all of those things, but the bottom line is you have to go out there and do it.
I learned so much from my running. I mean, I read this book, and I had this plan. I had some priorities set where my time for running was… The bottom line was every day I had scheduled to run. I needed to put on my shoes, go out, hit the road, go to the track, and do some running. Unless I did that, unless I put it into action, it wasn’t going to work.
You know, Jesus said in John, chapter 14, verse 21, “Whoever has my commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves me. And he who loves me…I will…manifest myself to him.” Jesus’ manifest presence is felt in our lives as we obey him, as we do what he has called us to do. I cannot tell you how important just getting out there is and doing what you know is right. The time has come for you to put it into practice and to do those things.  Now take it in increments, you know? A lot of people say they start with no quiet time at all, so they want to have an hour alone with God, and it doesn’t work. They don’t know what to do. Take it in increments.
When I started working out, I started off. All I could do was walk. Then I could walk and jog. Then I could jog and walk. Then I could run. Then I got to where I could run the whole marathon and run with endurance. Take it in increments, but get out there. On a daily basis, start practicing those things that are right. You’ll find they’ll become a part of your life.
This is what we want, and this is what God wants. It’s this to become a part of your lifestyle. The only way that can happen is for you to get out there and just do it. Get out there and begin to practice those things God has given you to practice in his Word. As you do that, he’ll manifest himself. His presence will fill your life, and you’ll have joy unspeakable.

Psalm : Chapter 119
32)  I run in the path of your commands, for you have broadened my understanding. ה He 33)  Teach me, Lord, the way of your decrees, that I may follow it to the end.[b] 34)  Give me understanding, so that I may keep your law and obey it with all my heart. 35)  Direct me in the path of your commands, for there I find delight. 36)  Turn my heart toward your statutes and not toward selfish gain.

Book of the Month

Sammy Tippit told his fiancée, “I can’t promise we’ll be rich, but life won’t be boring.”
Sammy had no idea what an understatement that would become. Beginning in the bars of Baton Rouge and the nightclubs of Chicago, Tippit has shared the news of life-changing faith in Christ all over the world – including in the middle of a revolution in Romania, the aftermath of genocide in Rwanda, and war in Burundi and the Congo.
Sammy’s lifelong adventure has come at a great price. He’s been cursed, threatened, arrested, deported, and blacklisted. He’s also been personally broken, ravaged with illness, and devastated by grief.
Yet he continues to preach to in stadiums, in open fields, and via satellite technology to hundreds of thousands around the globe.  For all other books…
